A friendly, relaxed and well organised tour of two ‘hidden gems’ of North Canterbury – Birch Hill and Okuku Country Estate. Both sets of hosts were extremely welcoming and provided great insight into the history and renovation of their properties. A recommended tour for both locals and visitors to the area, who are interested in gardens and historic buildings. PS The morning tea was delicious!

A fabulous day and a unique experience. I couldn’t get over the size of the trees and the magnificence of the grounds. I loved the wood pigeon as he followed us through the woodland gardens. It was amazing.
